Timothy Summers is the executive director of Third Horizon Initiatives at Arizona State University. He is internationally recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on cybersecurity, including how hackers think, blockchain technologies and the dynamics of normal chaos in complex systems.
Summers has designed resilient systems and processes for the U.S. Department of Defense, helping government, military and autonomous systems withstand and rapidly recover from adversarial disruptions. His work has focused on enabling operational resilience in environments facing constant and evolving threats.
In addition to his academic leadership, Summers serves as an executive advisor and cyber strategist at Booz Allen Hamilton, a multinational strategic consulting firm. In this role, he is a trusted adviser to Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions and governments around the world.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s leading hackers, Summers has also been recognized for his expertise by the University of Maryland, further underscoring his standing as a global authority in cybersecurity and adversarial thinking.
